I’m a product designer by profession with some hands-on experience in development, entrepreneurship, and publishing research papers.

I’m a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Product design with my day job at PayPal as a senior designer. Previously, I ran my own startup, Function Space – a social learning network for science. The startup ran for close to 3 years with 100,000 MAU and 20k+ registered users. You can read more about the startup on FirstPost, Times of India, and TechCrunch.

I have also designed products for a rental furniture company and a travel solutions company along with some consulting work for startups in India.  I started my career as a technology evangelist and python lead, and eventually moved on to designing products. You can also find me on UX.StackExchange.

I think it’s easier to classify my interests and skills with the “T-shaped” metaphor. Though my core-competency is that of a product designer, I have been working across various domains taking different roles throughout my career.

This is how I see myself as a “T-shaped” individual with case studies highlighting different strengths:

The vertical bar on the T represents the depth of related skills and expertise in a single field, whereas the horizontal bar is the ability to collaborate across disciplines with experts in other areas and to apply knowledge in areas of expertise other than one’s own. – Wikipedia
